Dating from 1850, the Cataldo Jesuit Mission is the state of Idaho's oldest building. The restored church sits on a grassy knoll overlooking the Coeur d'Alene River valley. The Visitor Center shows a film on the local Native American tribes and the missionaries known as "Black Robes".
