The Michelin Guide's review
The centrepiece of Grant Park, the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain was bequeathed to the city by philanthropist Kate Sturges Buckingham. Intended to represent Lake Michigan, the fountain is supplied with water by the lake (almost 6 million litres) in a closed loop system. In the main basin, four bronze horses, each 6m, represent the States that the lake borders.
