The Michelin Guide's review
With its waterfalls and natural pools, Erawan National Park, not far from the Burmese border, is a water kingdom. It owes its name to the most famous of its seven waterfalls that resembles an elephant (erawan). A superb hike (a relatively easy 2hr-long round hike) leads to the falls, along riverbanks, across suspension bridges and up the occasional mountain. The park's splendid setting is a luxuriant forest, which provides welcome shade and respite from the tropical heat.
