Looking at the current castle, it is difficult to imagine the original medieval fortress. It must be said that the Reggia was metamorphosed by some of its famous occupants, among whom the Farnese, Philippe de Bourbon in the 18C and Napoleon and his wife, Marie Louise, in the early 19C. Today the premises are steeped in the memory of this illustrious past, as the Sala Grande, masterpiece by Petitot (1755), the Duchess's apartment or the lavishly appointed Cappella San Liboria illustrate.
