The Michelin Guide's review
Formerly part of the estate of Boscodon abbey, this forest stretches for some 850ha/2,100 acres. Its copses and waymarked paths make it a very popular Sunday destination with the locals. A botanical trail acquaints walkers with 24 species of regional trees and bushes thanks to explanatory panels (French). From the viewing platform of Bragousse, you will be able to see the amazing crater, riddled by gullies of the Bragousse, a mountain stream whose summer spates can be fearsome, although now tamed by a series of forest dams.
