The Michelin Guide's review
Rotunda Hospital is a maternity hospital, still in use, built in 1752 by Richard Castle at a time when the infant mortality rate was extremely high. The exuberant Rococo chapel is decorated with superb stuccowork by Barthelemy Cramillion and mahogany carvings by John Kelly.
