The Michelin Guide's review
Object of all the fantasies of explorers, this gigantic cone that occupies the whole of south Argentina, beyond the Río Colorado, boasts an array of very varied landscapes. Its lower part, in the east, is made up of grassy plains and semi-desert steppes. Its pre-Andean part, higher up, has the largest concentration of lakes in the country, while its Andean part is the domain of the large parks and glaciers.
