The Michelin Guide's review
Claude Monet lived in this long pink house with green shutters from 1883 to his death in 1926. The furniture and ornaments inside recreate the interior of a family house. It is also home to Monet's collection of Japanese prints. The garden, visible from all the main windows of the house, was lovingly created year after year by the Impressionist artist. He painted his famous Nymphéas (water lilies) in the Japanese-style water garden.
