The Michelin Guide's review
It is worth visiting Makoshika State Park, the largest state park in Montana, to see its spectacular geological formations. Steep cliffs, rounded knolls, deep gorges and impressive mushrooms and spires give the landscape a phantasmagorical appearance. The park is home to the fossils of more than a dozen species of dinosaurs, and bones are on display in the Visitor Center - be sure to stop here firsts, before heading out to explore the park's sites.
