The Michelin Guide's review
A volcanic landscape whose name is Spanish for "The Badlands", this park attracts hardy hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. It is home to a huge lava field, created 2 000 years ago by around 40 different volcanoes (cinder cones, spatter cones, and shield volcanoes). Lava tubes, trenches, tree moulds and other flow-top features can be seen in the dense and rugged terrain.
