Pearl Harbor

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
A visit to Pearl Harbour is certainly a stirring experience. It was here, on 7 December 1941, that more than 2 300 servicemen were killed in a surprise early-morning air attack by the Japanese on the US naval base. Eighteen ships, including six battleships and three destroyers, sank in America's greatest military disaster. The harbour is still surrounded by active military bases, but it also includes three visitor sites that we highly recommend you programme into your time here.
