  The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in a former abattoir, this very instructive museum (detailed information in English) presents the different species of the Cetacean order (there are 23 in Icelandic waters!), how they live and reproduce, as well as the history and techniques of fishing. Exhibits include whale's teeth, whalebone plates and a fascinating collection of skeletons. The mammals' enormous bones were sometimes used as a material for building houses.
