The Michelin Guide's review
Off the southeast coast of Bali, on the other side of the Badung Strait, three islands emerge, surrounded by iridescent coral reefs: Nusa Penida and its two tiny satellites, Lembongan and Ceningan. Those living on these limestone plateaux make their living from cassava, sweet potato and soybean crops, and more especially from harvesting seaweed. Peace and quiet still reign on the islands, which have a splendid seabed and hidden creeks for visitors to explore.
