Inside the church, Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis, there is an extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage cycle of paintings. They were created over several eras, starting in the 11C. Among the oldest works, note Jesus's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem and the Transfiguration.
