The mellow hues of the landscape are interrupted by the austere outline of a four-storey fortified house, which was built in 1520 by a descendant of the kings of Connaught. After looking at the traces of the wickerwork visible on the coffered ceilings, climb to the top to take in the splendid view. The castle also hosts medieval banquets.
