The Michelin Guide's review
This building with palatial pretensions was designed by Modernist legend Gaudi for corporate patron Fernandez y Andres, the successor to the textile firm founded by Joan Homs i Botinàs. Built in 1892 in neo-Gothic style, the building is supported by a metal frame allowing for a spacious interior incorporating offices and storerooms. The slate-grey roof blends with the building's stonework. Above the entrance, the statue of St George Slaying the Dragon is by Antoni Cantó et Vicenç Matamala.
