The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1926, Central Library boasts an exquisite Art deco façade, topped with a pyramid-shaped roof adorned with glimmering mosaics that portray a sun. On the 2nd level, a mural, painted in 1932 chronicling the four main stages of California's history, is topped by a huge dome. The east Bradley Wing is laid out around an atrium adorned with gigantic sculptures and three amazing chandeliers, each of which weighs a ton!
