  The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1867 by Isabella II, the remarkable National Archaeological Museum in Madrid reopened in 2014, after six years of refurbishments. Its magnificent collections are showcased by a modern, interactive and sensitive museography, making it accessible for all-comers. Must-sees include the Protohistory section, the treasure of Guarrazar, the items relating to Egypt and Nubian, Al-Andalus and the Christian kingdoms. Don't leave without seeing the Greek vases.
