The Michelin Guide's review
Built between the 12 and 16C, the cathedral is a detailed example of the evolution of Gothic style. The interior is a contrast to the heavily eroded exterior. The height and brilliance of the nave and exceptional elevation of the twin side-aisles are impressive. The tomb of the «eagle of Meaux», Bossuet, is marked by a black slab which can be seen from the ambulatory through the chancel grill.
