Only two massive towers remain of the Dukes of Wurtemberg's château, built in the 15C and 16C: the Tour Henriette and Tour Frédéric, each with a lantern on top, stand alongside the 18C main building. The museum inside, the Musée du Château de Montbéliard, relates the history of the Pays de Montbéliard since prehistoric times. Be sure to see the natural history gallery (Galerie d'Histoire Naturelle Cuvier). The Logis des Gentilshommes is adorned with an elegant fluted gable by Schickhardt.
