The Michelin Guide's review
This limestone, false mansard-roofed structure, composed of two separate houses, was the home of George-Étienne Cartier (1814-73), who was a Father of Confederation. Displays trace his life. Refurbished in the Victorian style, some of the period rooms illustrate the lifestyle of 19C middle-class society.
