The Michelin Guide's review
If you can't summon up the energy to climb Mourne Hills, do pay a visit to Donard Park, south of Newcastle near the Glen River. This pleasant public park, bordered by a forest of fir trees, is the scene of a procession to the top of Slieve Donard (2,790ft/850m), which takes place every July 25 in honour of Saint Patrick.
