This museum includes a section dedicated to local history, including a huge model of Hadrian's Wall, as well as a number of objects found on the site. It also boasts an exhibition on Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greek, as well as a gallery of natural history (including the skeleton of a dinosaur), an aquarium, and even a planetarium.
