The Michelin Guide's review
Built between 1907 and 1909 by two Hungarian architects, Marcell Komor and Dezso Jakab, the palace is a huge Art Nouveau structure. Its polychrome decor and bold curves cannot leave the viewer indifferent. Between its two blocks runs the Black Eagle Passage with a colourful glazed roof, also a fluid and sinuous work of architecture that is today home to numerous cafés.
