This Natural Park covers some 2,042ha, 1,869 of which is forest, mainly oak and beech trees. Its woods and meadows are home to a diversified wildlife from the salamander to the Pyrenean desman (a sort of mole). A magnificent botanical garden rich in exotic plants and Aizkolegi palace, which enjoys a sweeping view over the surrounding parkland and valleys was the work of one Don Pedro Ciga. Several waymarked paths for walkers.
