The most beautiful monument in Osiyan is dedicated to Mahavira, the last of the 24 tirthankara and founder of the Jain community. The priest who works here is also a delightful guide; like most of the priests in Jain temples, he is actually Hindu. Built in the 8C and extended in the 10C, the temple has been restored on numerous occasions, including in the past few years. The Mahavira temple stands in the middle of the courtyard.
