  The Michelin Guide's review
This museum traces the history of Dutch pottery tiles from 1510 to today. First influenced by Italian pottery and Chinese porcelain, it was only around 1620 that the originally multicoloured tiles became blue. Rotterdam violet appeared in the 18C, the height of the success of Dutch pottery. It was in decline in the 19C but had a new lease of life around 1900.
