The Michelin Guide's review
The Cross Group, to the east, refers to three little pyramids topped by temples that form a charming ensemble. Each of the temples boasts stunningly beautiful sculpted panels. In the centre of the highest one, Templo de la Cruz, a cross emerges from the jaws of a monster, symbolising the tree of life. A variation of the same motif can be seen in the easternmost Templo de la Cruz Foliada featuring a cross in the shape of an ear of maize. Note the well-preserved cresteria (roof comb) on the Templo del Sol.
