The Michelin Guide's review
Standing in gardens and probably surrounded by a vast artificial lake, La Cuba was a pleasure palace where the Norman king William II and his court gathered for celebrations and to enjoy some fresh air. The present building, which is exquisitely simple in its decor, comprises a series of pointed arches with other smaller openings inserted in between them. Inside, La Cuba was arranged in three sections: in the central area, you can still make out the shape of an eight-pointed star-shaped pool.
