The Michelin Guide's review
The palace dates back to 1330 and is striking for its beautiful Arab-Norman façade. Its ogival twin windows are surmounted by a tracery of arches and the royal eagle tops its elongated pointed portal. The famous fresco, The Triumph of Death, which is kept at the regional gallery of Sicily, came from this palace.
