The Michelin Guide's review
Alphonse de Lamartine spent a few days in this superb residence in 1833, on his way back from his epic journey to the East. The two-storey house, erected in 1829-30, is built on a stone foundation. Each floor comprises a central drawing room surrounded by bedrooms. The building, which is now the headquarters of the Bulgarian Writers' Union, is sadly only open haphazardly.
