Zoodóhos Pigí Monastery, located a few kilometres from Kalavria, is tucked away in a pine forest. The monastic buildings, constructed in the 18C, surround an inner courtyard where several heroes from the War of Independence are buried. Below the monastery there is a little sandy beach with a taverna nearby.
