Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The Forum, a magnificent open theatrical square lined with cafés, has been the centre of the city of Pula for over twenty centuries. It houses the city's two most iconic edifices: the town hall, a 13C Gothic palace built over an old temple that includes a beautiful Renaissance arcaded façade. To the right is the small temple of Augustus, dating from the 1C, whose harmonious proportions are reminiscent of Nîmes' Maison carré.
