Among the treasures of the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares are glaciers that are only accessible by boat. The boat leaves the port of Punta Bandera, then heads along the northern arm of the Lago Argentino to reach Glaciar Upsala, the largest in the park (870km²). Although observed from a distance, this enormous ice tongue (which is retreating year by year) is an impressive sight. You will never tire of admiring the icebergs set against the milky waters of the lake. Further out, Glaciar Spegazzini can reach a height of 130m.
