 Well worth the diversions
Religious monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
This former monastery, founded in the 12C by King Alfonso I, occupies a magnificent site on Santa Bàrbara hill. In 1910, following various trials and tribulations, Eduardo Todà i Güell completed a large-scale restoration project, which gave it its present-day appearance. The 13C-14C church stands out from the other buildings here. One of the galleries of the old cloisters has been transformed into a belvedere, offering extensive views of the Costa Daurada, which are particularly impressive in spring.
