The Michelin Guide's review
Named for F. Scott Fitzgerald, creator of Gatsby, the 1910 Beaux-Arts Fitzgerald Theater is St Paul's oldest. It was here that the famous show The Prairie Home Companion was created in 1974. The famous Garrison Keillor show was always broadcast on Saturday evenings and recorded in front of a live audience, often in the theatre. The filmmaker Robert Altman dedicated his last film (The Last Show, 2006) to the place and the programme.
