The Michelin Guide's review
A sacred site in ancient Agustinian culture, this labyrinth of small channels cut into the rocky riverbed and tiered pools was reserved for religious ceremonies and ritual bathing. There are around thirty engraved or sculpted motifs, representing lizards, snakes, salamanders, iguanas, toads, chameleons and turtles, as well as small human figures. The water flowing through the basins and linking them to other parts of the labyrinth symbolises the journey of life.
