Despite its timeless Neoclassical allure and countless columns, City Hall in fact only dates from 1915. Its splendid dome rises to a height of 308ft/94m. Once past the security checks, visitors can admire the spectacular, 181ft/55m-high rotunda and the massive marble staircase.
