Shops and restaurants now occupy the riverfront Factors Walk warehouses along Bay and River Streets, a center of cotton trade in the 19C. The 1887 Old Cotton Exchange bears witness to Savannah's illustrious past. City Hall with its golden dome is an iconic local landmark. The docks, lined in souvenir stores, is also the jetty for steam boat river cruises.
