Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Here it is easy to see why Sibiu, nicknamed "Little Vienna", is considered to be Romania's prettiest town. The well-proportioned square is lined by a colourful ensemble of Baroque houses like the Weidner-Reussner-Czekelius house, the blue house and the Brikenthal palace-museum, and Renaissance houses like the Haller house (Gothic elements and façade with lions). It's worth pausing and watching for a while to fully appreciate the hustle and bustle of this place.
