The Michelin Guide's review
The tour of the Bibracte Oppidum, covering 200ha, gives an insight into the Gallic city, with its 12km of fortifications, 15 monumental gates, craftsmen's or residential quarters and public spaces that punctate the route of the town's old streests. It is one of the best-preserved oppida in Europe; a section of the walls and a gate, the Porte du Rebout, have been partially reconstructed. Enjoy the panoramic view of Autun and the Signal d'Uchon and Mont-St-Vincent peaks.
