The Michelin Guide's review
The cathedral was built from the 10C to the 15C. Note the unaligned chancel with its superb 11C Romanesque frescoes depicting the apostles. Their style is reminiscent of Byzantine paintings. Don't miss the cloister, begun in the 11C, whose sculpted capitals were inspired by Gallo-Roman, Mozarabic, Syrian and Chaldean motifs, the upper gallery (14C) and the Treasure-house containing the reliquary bust of St Lizier (16C), a 12C ivory crosier and 16C statues.
