Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
This masterpiece built by Juvarra in 1729 lies at the end of a long avenue lined with farms, beyond the semicircle of stables. It is composed of four wings laid out in a saltire form organised around the splendid Salone Centrale. Its vocation as a hunting seat is underscored by the large stag statue perched on the roof, a replica of the 1766 original positioned at the beginning of the circuit. The palace is set in vast grounds, and houses the Museum of Art and Furniture, where you can visit the apartments decorated according to 18C Rococo tastes.
