The Michelin Guide's review
Millicent Rogers, born in 1902, was the grand-daughter of one of the founders of the Standard Oil Company. After a glittering life in New York, ill-fated love affairs and ill health, she left the city to live in Taos in 1947. This house, which belonged to Millicent's friends, contains part of her fantastic collection of Native American and Hispanic art. Zuni and Navajo jewelry, weaving, pottery, paintings, photographs and Hispanic artefacts paint an accurate portrait of New Mexico's melting pot of culture.
