The Michelin Guide's review
This strange "rock town", previously known only to hermits, came to light in 1824 following a huge forest fire. Today, numerous paths and trails attract tourists and climbers to this maze of fissures, gorges, waterfalls and steep-sided cliffs. The area is home to unusually shaped rocks which often bear a striking resemblance to animals, such as "Elephant Square" (Sloní Náměstí) which, as the name suggests, brings to mind a herd of elephants.
