The archaeology and antique art collections are beautifully showcased in this museum housed in the former Saint-Raymond school. Built in 1523 and later remodelled by Viollet-le-Duc, it has been superbly restored. The museum contains numerous objects from ancient Tolosa, mosaics and statuary from Chiragan de Martres-Tolosane Villa and a magnificent collection of emperor's heads, Early Christian sarcophagi and vestiges discovered when the museum was restored.
