The Michelin Guide's review
The Pont Neuf, linking Gascogne to the Languedoc, is the oldest bridge in Toulouse. It was commissioned by the King of France, François I, and construction began in 1544 under the aegis of architect Nicolas Bachelier. It was only completed in 1632.
