The Michelin Guide's review
In the 16C Count Siegmund Friedrich von Trauttmannsdorf transformed the fortress of Neuhaus, perched on a rocky outcrop above the Enns Valley, into a country residence and renamed it Trautenfels. Today it houses a nature museum (Landschaftsmuseum) dedicated to the cultural and natural history of the Styrian valley, the Enns and the Ausseerland. Head up to the belvedere for a fine view, notably of the imposing Groß-Grimming massif.
