  The Michelin Guide's review
A meteorite travelling at a speed of 80 000km/hr crashed down here over 200 000 years ago. That created the gigantic Tswaing Crater, 1.3km in diameter and 120m deep, occupied by a salt basin. Tswaing means salt in the Tswana language. In prehistorical times (30 000-20 000 years ago), the San occupied this site, where carved stone tools and weapons have been found.
