The Michelin Guide's review
This 16C palace built by Andrés de Vandelvira for José Vázquez de Molina owes its name, Palacio de las Cadenas, to the chains between the columns on the square. First a convent, then a prison and finally a town hall, it boasts a beautiful façade emblasoned with a coat-of-arms on which the decoration veers between Andalusian and Classical. Don't miss the elegant double-arcaded patio, or the fine artesonado (coffered) ceiling on the first floor.
